pretty good taiwanese cuisine. for the meal you can to pick 3 side dishes. the fried chicken is very chrispy and juicy.
I've been going to this family owned restaurant in Richmond public market regularly. The owner are very friendly, their family, uncle and sister all work there to ensure you consistent food quality. It's the best value ....you can get 3 wonderful side dishes alone worth 10 already 1 main dishes like kung pao chicken, beef stew or chicken nugget spring with hot pepper. Their ca ciang mien ...beef braised noodles also really good. They handmade the noodles, very fresh and you can taste the difference. Good price, good foods, thank you Chef Liu
Super Recommend Only 3 Min wait , lol Taste really nice, meat is tender. The broth is little bit sweet, but I love it!
Really good Taiwanese fried chicken! Crispy crunchy with a bit spicy powder on top.
Their beef noodle soup was authentic and really tasty. The broth is made up with rich beef flavour and the beef was really tender and as a Taiwanese this beef noodle soup might be better than most places in Taiwan. I would obviously come back here soon!
Chef Liu Kitchen in the Richmond Public Market (hence the 3 stars for mall atmosphere) is a GREAT destination for authentic Taiwanese food. I usually get #15 which is their minced pork on rice and you get to choose any 3 side servings from their hot food selection; I vary between their green beans, tomato egg, mahpo tofu, soya egg. As an extra, you could add their chicken fillet (#29) and that is a wonderful meal. Their chicken fillet is probably the best, IMHO, within the market - I’ve tried everyone else’s. While everyone else also makes a decent fried chicken fillet, here the fillet is tender and still juicy inside. The shop owners are nice, humble people and patient with me when I can’t make up my mind. When it’s not crazy busy, which frankly isn’t common, the friendly people behind the counter have, at times, given me a small taste of other foods they sell to see if I might like their other dishes - YMMV.
One of the best Taiwanese meat sauce on rice (Lu rou fan) I have eaten in Vancouver! Been trying to find a good one since I got back from Taipei. Sweet Memory in Richmond is also good but this one let's you select 3 authentic Taiwanese side dishes for 10.
I am not a big fan of food court. But today I gave it a try at this place and ordered a Kung Pao chicken combo. Oh man it was a pleasant surprise! The chicken was cooked on order and I got to choose 3 side dishes which were all tasty. The bowl was well presented and the cost was just 16, no additional tax or tips required. Portion is huge for the price! I will definitely come back a lot more often!!
